Peace through the Storm

Peace through the storm

As an enormous tsunami freak wave threatened to crash upon the city, she saw around her a comforting, protective bubble, and many others around her who were protected as well. She knew then that her prayers were answered. God was with them.

Prayers answered

My mom always tells me her dreams. This is just one of the many that replay in my mind. We always talk about how faithful God is and the power of prayer. As an atheist I would merely entertain her stories, now I truly believe them.

I have many friends and family and loved ones in Florida whom I am joining in prayer for this storm to die down. To blow away into the ocean, away from all humanity. It’s an easy thing for Our Creator.

What gives me peace is knowing that He has all the power to create and destroy, to protect and to save, to have mercy and love.

His Word gives Peace

If you are currently in need of peace, I encourage you to receive His Word and His Spirit. He transformed my life just because I opened my heart to Him. May His peace be upon you.

Deuteronomy 31:6,8

[6]Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

[8]And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.

Psalms 57:1

Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast.

Mark 9:23-24

[23]Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

[24]And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.

Hebrews 11:6

[6]But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Joshua 1:9

[9]Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

Philippians 4:6

[6]Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Matthew 6:33-34

[33]But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

[34]Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
